$3 adults; $1.50 SC seniors; $1 children age 6-15; age 5 & younger free

PETS

Pets are not allowed in the cabins or the cabin areas. Pets are allowed in most other outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Owners will be asked to remove noisy or dangerous pets or pets that threaten or harass wildlife.

Poinsett Volunteers

Poinsett State Park is known as being the mountains of the midlands and sits approximately 42 miles from the capital city of Columbia, SC and 90 miles from historic Charleston, SC.

Poinsett State Park is always looking for volunteers to work in the Park Host Program.

Duties include:

  • Performing grounds/facility maintenance
  • Assisting with park administration
  • Housekeeping and cleaning of park facilities
  • Serving as operations clerk
