PARK ADVISORY

Park Paving: The park will be closed to all day-use visitors Monday-Thursday from November 4 to December 5 for paving.


The Jungle Trail is closed. 


The swimming area is CLOSED for the season. Check back in 2025!


Due to current river levels, we are not currently offering canoe or kayak rentals for the Canoe Trail.

Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Owners will be asked to remove noisy or dangerous pets or pets that threaten or harass wildlife. Pets are not allowed in or around lodging facilities.

Unique Features

  • Significant Features: The Edisto River, the longest free-flowing blackwater stream in North America, flows through the park. The park also includes three artesian wells that can be accessed by the public.

  • Wildlife: Wildlife such as white-tailed deer, beaver, various reptiles and birds of prey can be found on the park.

  • Wildflowers: Wildflowers that can be seen on the park include pitcher plants.
