Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Owners will be asked to remove noisy or dangerous pets or pets that threaten or harass wildlife. Pets are not allowed in or around lodging facilities.

Colleton State Park

Colleton Volunteers
Colleton State Park is located along the Edisto River approximately 80 miles from the capital city of Columbia, SC and 50 miles from historic Charleston, SC.
Colleton State Park is always looking for volunteers to work in the Park Host Program.
Duties include:
- Performing grounds/facility maintenance
- Assisting with park administration
- Housekeeping and cleaning of park facilities
- Serving as operations clerk
