Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Owners will be asked to remove noisy or dangerous pets or pets that threaten or harass wildlife. Pets are not allowed in or around lodging facilities.

Is wi-fi available at Colleton State Park?

Wi-fi is available at the park office.  Please check with ranger staff for password information.

May I pay for my campsite at the donation box?

No, you may not pay for your campsite at the donation box.  This box is for donations only.  Please stop by the ranger station to pay for camping.

Does this park have cabins?

There are no cabins available for rent at Colleton State Park. The park does have a camper cabin. More information can be found under Lodging. 

Are there any bicycle trails at Colleton State Park?

The trails at Colleton State Park are for foot-traffic only.  No bicycles are allowed on the trails.

Does the park have canoes or kayaks available for rent?

No, but two private outfitters offer services on the river. Edisto River Adventures offers kayak, canoe, paddle board and tube rentals.  They operate year round and offer guided trips as well. Caroline Heritage Outfitters offers canoe rentals only.  They operate seasonally and offer self-guided trips only.

Does the park have rental tents or campers available?

If you are planning on camping, you will need to bring your own tent or camper.  The park does not have any of this equipment available for rent.

May a campsite be used for picnicking?

The campsites in the park are for camping only.  If you would like to picnic please use the picnic area or reserve a shelter.

Is there a boat landing in the park to launch a boat?

There is no boat landing in the park, but there is a public boat landing just outside the park.  Take a left as you leave the park. As you cross the Edisto River you will see the landing on your left.

May we take a shower in the comfort station bathhouse?

The comfort station is available to visitors who are camping at the park.  It is not for general public use, but for campers only.

Where is the park’s Ultimate Outsider stamp located?

Our Ultimate Outsider stamp is located on the park kiosk, which is near the Ranger Station. There is also a stamp inside of the Ranger Station.
