Pine Island State Park will have a soft opening from October 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. During this time, the park will be open to the public with limited hours and days. Stay tuned for additional information coming to our website soon!

Open from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Tu, Th and Sa

11 a.m. - noon & 4 p.m. - 5 p.m., Tu, Th and Sa

ADMISSION

$6 adults; $3.75 SC Seniors (age 65 & older); $3.50 children age 6-15; ages 5 & under are free

PETS

Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Owners will be asked to remove noisy or dangerous pets or pets that threaten or harass wildlife.

Things To Do

Fishing Information: Enjoy fishing for large mouth bass, striped bass, bream, crappie, and catfish on Lake Murray. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.

Freshwater Fishing: Yes

Boating and Boat Access: A boat ramp is available for guests with a rented marina slip only. There is no public boat access available otherwise.

Picnic Area and Shelters: Picnic shelters are available on a first come, first served basis only. No reservations are available for shelters due to limited parking.
Park Store/Gift Shop: Snacks, ice, bait and tackle, apparel, and gifts are available for purchase at the Visitor Center.
Playground Equipment: Yes
Picnic Shelters: Yes
Playground: There is a playground located at the park.
Bird Watching: Pine Island is a great place to see a variety of birds, including bald eagles and great blue herons.
Biking: Yes
Birding: Yes

Walking/Nature Trails: Although the park does not have hiking or mountain biking trails, there are paved walking/biking trails along the western side of the island.
