Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Owners will be asked to remove noisy or dangerous pets or pets that threaten or harass wildlife.

Things To Do

  • Fishing Information: Enjoy fishing for large mouth bass, striped bass, bream, crappie, and catfish on Lake Murray. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.
  • Fishing: Yes

  • Boating and Boat Access: A boat ramp is available for guests with a rented marina slip only. There is no public boat access available otherwise.
  • Picnic Area and Shelters: Picnic shelters are available on a first come, first served basis only. No reservations are available for shelters due to limited parking.
  • Park Store/Gift Shop: Snacks, ice, bait and tackle, apparel, and gifts are available for purchase at the Visitor Center.

  • Bird Watching: Pine Island is a great place to see a variety of birds, including bald eagles and great blue herons.
