Check-in/Check out Times

Check-in for park cabins is 4 PM Check out is 10 AM.  

For late check-in please contact the park office between 3 pm and 5 pm to get your cabin door code.  

Check-in for campsites is 2 PM. Check-out is at noon

Pets are allowed in cabins 14-20 at Oconee. Pets are not allowed in any other cabin or the cabin areas. Pets are allowed in most other outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Pets are not to be left unattended.

Camping

  • Camping Information: The main campground offers campsites with individual water and electrical hookups and a picnic table, with some sites offering sewer hook-up. While tent campers may use the sites with water and electrical hookups, a designated walk-in tent camping area, located near sites 70 and 75, includes tent areas (limit two tents per site) and centralized water (located in the parking area). Each campsite is convenient to restrooms with hot showers.

    When reserving your site, please see the site details for equipment each site can accommodate and driveway length.

  • Camping Reservations: To make a camping reservation or view current rates, call toll-free 1-866-345-PARK or visit our reservations page by clicking here. Rates vary by season and demand and are subject to change.

    Camping reservations must be made for a minimum of two nights.

    Reservations requested less than one (1) day in advance of check-in must be made directly through the park.

    For example:
    If today is Friday and you are making a reservation checking in on today, Friday, you must make the reservation by contacting the park directly.
  • Standard Sites with Elec. & Water: 110 sites
  • Full Hookup Sites with Elec, Water, Sewer: 24 sites
  • Designated Tent Sites: 15 walk in tent sites include fire ring and picnic table.
  • Dump Station: Yes
  • Primitive Group Area: A primitive group camping area is ideal for organized groups up to 50 people. (An organized group is defined as a group that holds regular meetings and has a lead officer or elected/appointed officials.) The area includes central water and nearby restroom facilities. Reservations are accepted.

    To make a primitive group camping reservation, please contact the park directly.

    During the winter season of Dec.-March, please contact the park for information on winter closures for all campsites.
