TRAVEL ADVISORY

Due to recent lake restocking, bream and bass remain catch and release only, catfish and trout may be kept within legal limit numbers. Find more detailed information here or please contact the park directly.

OFFICE

The park store and office are open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., daily.
Bathhouse concessions are open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tu through Su, Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Beginning January 1, 2020, pets will be allowed in cabin 20 at Oconee. Pets are not allowed in any other cabin or the cabin areas. Pets are allowed in most other outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Pets are not allowed in cabin 20 prior to January 1, 2020.

Camping

  • Camping Information: The main campground, located near the park lake, offers campsites with individual water and electrical hookups and picnic table. While tent campers may use the sites with water and electrical hookups, a designated walk-in tent camping area, located 100 yards off of the main campground, includes tent pads (limit two tents per pad) and centralized water. Each campground is convenient to restrooms with hot showers. A laundry facility is available seasonally.

    When reserving your site, please see the site details for equipment each site can accommodate and driveway length.

  • Camping Reservations: To make a camping reservation or view current rates, call toll-free 1-866-345-PARK or visit our reservations page by clicking here. Rates vary by season and demand and are subject to change.

    Camping reservations must be made for a minimum of two nights.

    Reservations requested less than one (1) day in advance of check-in must be made directly through the park.

    For example:
    If today is Friday and you are making a reservation checking in on today, Friday, you must make the reservation by contacting the park directly.
  • Standard Sites with Elec. & Water: 140 sites
  • Designated Tent Sites: 15 tent sites includes tent impact pads.
  • Laundry Facilities: Yes
  • Dump Station: Yes
  • Primitive Group Area: A primitive group camping area is ideal for organized groups up to 50 people. (An organized group is defined as a group that holds regular meetings and has a lead officer or elected/appointed officials.) The area includes central water and nearby restoom facilities. Reservations are accepted.

    To make a primitive group camping reservation, contact the park directly. Primitive group rates:
    Groups up to 10 people - $32/night
    11-20 people - $42/night
    21-30 people - $52/night
    31 or more people - $62/night

    During the winter season of Dec.-March, please contact the park for information on winter closures for all campsites.
