PARK ADVISORY

The upper 10-mile loop of the CCC Trail, orange blazes, will be closed to equestrian use from Saturday 11/8 to Sunday 11/9 at 4:00pm due to a trail race.  The Popular Point Trail, white blazes, and the lower loop of the CCC Trail will still be open to equestrian use.  Please refer to maps at the Equestrian Day Use Parking Area that show the closure.  Thank you for your understanding.

Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Owners will be asked to remove noisy or dangerous pets or pets that threaten or harass wildlife. Pets are not allowed in or around cabins, cabin areas or other lodging facilities.

Kings Mountain State Park is 6885 acres with 115 standard campsites, 6 hammock & tent sites, 15 Equestrian only sites,  & 7 primitive group sites available to overnight guests. The park provides boat rentals, fishing, several multi-use hiking/equestrian trails, and a 1800s Living History Farm.  We have 4 campground host sites and 2 maintenance host sites.  Hosts are mostly responsible for cleaning park restrooms, maintaining campsites, and roadways. 
 
If you are interested in applying to be a Kings Mountain Park Host, please download and complete the volunteer application and mail it to the park or email it to our office.
