The facility will become an event venue with the option to stay overnight.

  • Relax in the serene environment. 
  • Register for a scheduled tour to hear about the history of the property and what the future holds for one of South Carolina’s new state parks.

At this time, we do not have trails, but we are planning to have them in the future.

When will the facility be ready for event rentals?

At this time, we do not have a set date, but continue to check back in the future as we continue work on developing this new state park.

Can we reserve the chapel for wedding?

At this time, we are not taking any reservations for the current facility.

Can we reserve meeting space?

At this time, we are not taking any reservations for the current facility.

At this time, Wi-Fi is not available at the park.

At this time, there is no admission charge to enter the park.

At this time, there is no safe access to launch a kayak.

Can we access the park when the gates are closed?

Park is accessible during operational hours, Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm. 

Can we hang a hammock?
Trees are protected at May Forest and to ensure the tree's health, we encourage you to bring a hammock stand and not attach anything to the trees.

Where is the park’s Ultimate Outsider stamp located?

Our Ultimate Outsider stamp is located by the double doors of the main entrance near the chapel and is available during operating hours Monday - Friday, 8 am-5 pm. A May Forest insert for the Official Guide to South Carolina State Parks is also available.
