  • Fishing Information: Enjoy fishing in Strom Thurmond Lake for bass, bream, crappie, striper, hybrid bass and catfish. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.

  • Tackle Loaner Program: This park participates in the Tackle Loaner Program sponsored by the SC Dept. of Natural Resources. Rods and reels are available for loan at the park office.

  • Bird Watching: The forests and lakeshore of Hamilton Branch are excellent places to view birds. Guests have the opportunity to see bald eagles, osprey and other migratory waterfowl.

  • Geocaching: Geocaching is permitted. Several geocaches are located on the park. For more information visit the official geocaching website.

  • Other Facilities and Activities: Games are available for check-out in the park office. Our games consist of: horseshoes, bean bag toss, washers, kickballs, soccer balls, footballs, frisbees, board games, puzzles and playing cards.
