Animal forest, visitor center and the Adventure will be closed on Christmas Day. Park grounds will be open.

The Adventure will be away from the park for annual maintenance November 23, 2021 through March 1, 2022

Bobcat Exhibit is closed for renovation.

HOURS

Park Grounds: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. during daylight savings time

Visitor Center/ Gift Shop: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily, Closed Christmas Day, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. during daylight savings time

Animal Forest and Adventure: 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. daily, Closed Christmas Day, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. during daylight savings time

OFFICE

9 a.m. -5 p.m., daily

ADMISSION

$12/adult; $7.50/S.C. Senior; $7/youth age 6-15; Free for children 5 and younger.

PETS

Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Pets are not permitted in the Animal Forest.

Unique Features

Significant Features: The significant features of the site include river and marsh views, majestic oaks and magnolias and 80 acres of English park gardens.

Charles Towne Landing is the site of the first permanent European settlement in South Carolina.
Wildlife: Wildlife you may see at the park include the threatened wood storks, alligators and various coastal wading birds in the wild.

In the Animal Forest visitors can see animals that once inhabited the Charleston area such as bison, puma, black bear, otters, various shore birds, wild turkey and more.
