Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Owners will be asked to remove noisy or dangerous pets or pets that threaten or harass wildlife.

Unique Features

  • Significant Features: The site is a presidential homeplace. It also includes the Anna Hyatt Huntington statue, the Boy of the Waxhaws. Revolutionary artifacts and artifacts related to President Andrew Jackson can also be found on-site in the park museum.

  • Wildflowers: The fall-blooming Schwientz's Sunflower, an endangered species, can be found on the park.
