Huntington Beach State Park is a dog friendly park year round. Please keep in mind that all dogs must remain on a leash no longer than six feet at all times. Please clean up after your pet. Dogs are allowed on the south end of the beach. Dogs are prohibited in buildings, including Atalaya and on the north end of the beach. The north end extends from the beach access at the north parking lot to the jetty.

Camping

  • Camping Information: Each site, excluding the designated tent sites, has water and electrical hookups and is convenient to hot showers and restrooms. Some sites have sewer hookups. All sites have complimentary wi-fi access. Several sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet, others up to 30 feet.

    While tent campers may use the sites with water and electricity, the park also offers a designated walk-in tent site area which includes tent pads and central water.

    Discounted rates may be available for seasons of lower demand.

  • Camping Reservations: To make a camping reservation or view current rates, call toll-free 1-866-345-PARK or visit our reservations page by clicking on Make a Reservation at the top of this page. Rates vary by season and demand. Rates are subject to change.

    Reservations requested less than one (1) day in advance of check-in must be made directly through the park.

    For example:
    If today is Friday and you are making a reservation checking in on today, Friday, you must make the reservation by contacting the park directly.

  • Standard Sites with Elec. & Water: 107 sites
  • Full Hookup Sites with Elec, Water, Sewer: 66 sites
  • Designated Tent Sites: 6 rustic tent sites include tent pads
  • Dump Station: Yes
  • Primitive Group Area: Three primitive group campsites are available for organized groups. (An organized group is defined as a group that holds regular meetings and has a lead officer or elected/appointed officials.) Each area includes a picnic table, fire ring and nearby restroom facilities. Showers are not available.

    Reservations are accepted. To make a primitive group camping reservation, contact the park directly at 843-237-4440. The nightly rate is $50 and includes up to ten campers. The rate increases by $5 for each additional person. Prices do not include tax. Each site can accommodate up to 25 people maximum.
