Lilyfest 2025 will be on Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18, from 10 am to 3 pm.

Both hiking trails are open, though erosion and a damaged footbridge have affected accessibility for wheelchairs and strollers. Questions? Contact the park at 803-789-5800.

The park does not rent kayaks or canoes. Visitors are welcome to bring their own kayaks or canoes, or reserve guided tours through Aquatic Adventures or North Carolina Outdoor Adventures.

ADMISSION

$6/adult 16 years and older; $3.75/S.C. senior; $3.50/child ages 6-15; ages 5 & under free.

PETS

Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Owners will be asked to remove noisy or dangerous pets or pets that threaten or harass wildlife.

See the beautiful spider lilies in peak bloom.
Explore the Canal Trail and read the interpretive text to understand the incredible work done on the trail by 1820s standards.
Paddle the shoals and appreciate the power of a piedmont, fall line river. While spider lilies are a plus, the river has its own unique qualities any time of the year.
Check out the numerous intact structures from the early 1800s including the locks, mill site and lockkeeper’s house.
Visit the park often during eagle nesting season and spot one of the resident bald eagles. Bonus: Watch the fledgling eagles leave the nest around the first of June on their first flight.
