PARK ADVISORY

The Straight Road, or "Alligator Alley", which provides access to Mallard Pond, will have periods of closure for the next several weeks. Please check out Tidbit Tuesday: Mallard Pond Restoration Project for more information on this project.

The North End Beach Access restroom is closed for upgrades. This closure is expected to last for several weeks. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Spoonbills will be closed for the winter season. It will reopen in Spring 2026.

Due to high visitation and limited parking, temporary park closures may occur on weekends and holidays. Visitors are encouraged to arrive outside of peak hours (10 a.m.–2 p.m.).

HOURS

6 a.m. - 6 p.m., daily (extended to 9 p.m. during Daylight Saving Time)

Atalaya Hours: 9 a.m.-4 p.m., daily (extended to 5 p.m. during Daylight Saving Time) PLEASE NOTE: Atalaya is the venue for many large events throughout the year and may be closed in correspondence to these events. For current information, please contact the park office.

Spoonbills Ice Cream:
Closed for the winter season.

ADMISSION

$8/adult; $5/ S.C. Senior; $4/youth age 6-15; Free for children 5 and younger.

Atalaya admission: $2/person ages 6 and up. Children 5 and under admitted free.

PETS

Huntington Beach State Park is a dog friendly park year round. Please keep in mind that all dogs must remain on a leash no longer than six feet at all times. Please clean up after your pet. Dogs are allowed on the south end of the beach. Dogs are prohibited in buildings, including Atalaya and on the north end of the beach. The north end extends from the beach access at the north parking lot to the jetty.

Tidal Information

WARNING! FLOODING RISK!

During the week of Memorial Day (5/23/25- 5/29/25), tidal flooding is expected to impact access to the north end of the park, including the Nature Center, North parking lot, and Oyster Landing.

We recommend that you do not park in these areas from 1-hour-before to 1-hour-after high tide. Vehicles may be damaged from saltwater.
