PLEASE BE ADVISED:  Per the WMA regulations listed below from SCDNR, anyone using H. Cooper Black property outside of the campground, during hunting season, must wear blaze orange.  Please read below for more information. We appreciate your cooperation.


7.1 -- On WMA lands during any gun and muzzleloader hunting season for deer, bear and hogs, all hunters, including small game hunters, must wear either a hat, coat, or vest of solid visible international orange. Archery hunters during archery only deer seasons and hunters for dove, turkey, ducks, geese and other migratory birds (including crows) are exempt from this requirement while hunting for those species.

50-11-365 – All users except hunters for dove, ducks, geese, and other migratory birds including crows must wear a hat, coat, or vest of solid international orange during any deer hunting season.

  1. Take a ride or or go for a walk around Goose Pond at sunrise or sunset and catch a glimpse of the peaceful view.
  2. Check out the overlook view of the horse trail section, located between F and JJ on the map.
  3. Come practice in the 150 by 250-foot arena for horse and barrel racing shows or just for fun.
  4. Ride the 20 miles of moderately-difficult horse trails that take you through pine plantations and hardwood forest.
  5. Come out and observe the retriever events and see how the dogs are trained to retrieve on hand and voice commands.
