PARK NEWS

Campers, please be advised:  If you have a camping reservation, you do not need to check-in at the office.  You may go directly to your campsite.  Our park rangers or campground host will come by during patrols and check you in at that time.  Thanks for your assistance.


There is an electric vehicle charging station for use by visitors at the park.

All guests not staying overnight are required to pay admission. Visitors may pay admission at the park office, park store or any one of the three green iron ranger boxes located throughout the park.

Pets are allowed in cabins 11 and 12 and cabins 13-20 at Santee State Park. Pets are not allowed in any other cabins or the cabin areas. Pets are allowed in most other outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Owners will be asked to remove noisy or dangerous pets or pets that threaten or harass wildlife.

**Pets are currently permitted in Cabins 11 and 12 and 13-20 at Santee State Park.

  • Lodging Information: Ten cabins are located on a pier over Lake Marion, while 20 cabins are situated along the lakeshore. Each two bedroom cabin is completely furnished, heated, air-conditioned, and supplied with linens, basic cooking and eating utensils, coffee maker, microwave and TV.

    While all cabins offer the same amenities and accommodate the same number of people, there are two different sizes (square footage) of cabins. Cabins numbered 2, 4, 7, 9, 20, and 23 are the smaller cabins. Cabins 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10-19, 21, 22, and 24-30 are larger in size.

  • Reservations: To make a cabin reservation or view current rates, call toll-free 1-866-345-PARK or visit our reservations page by clicking here. Rates vary by season and demand and are subject to change.

    Reservations requested less than three (3) days in advance of check-in must be made directly through the park. For example: If today is Wednesday and you are making a reservation for the upcoming Friday, you must make the reservation by contacting the park directly.

    Pier cabins (cabins 1-10) require a seven-night reservation minimum during peak season.

  • Two Bedroom Cabin/Villa: Each 2BR, 1BA cabin accommodates up to four people.
