The Pier Store will resume winter hours on Thursday, November 28th: Open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Park Office will close at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, December 13. Normal hours will resume on Saturday. We apologize for the inconvenience. 


Holiday Hours 2024:

Thanksgiving 

-Pier Store 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

-Ranger Station 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

-Park Office closed.


Christmas Day

-The Pier Store will be closed but the pier will be open.

Please be aware that parking is first-come, first-serve and is LIMITED. Shelter guests are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to arrive outside peak hours (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.), especially on weekends and holidays in the summer. The park is extremely busy during this time and may reach normal capacities and close for a period of time. Should you forget something, you may want to check our retail stores before leaving the park, as the wait to re-enter could be extensive, and you could be turned away if the park is at capacity.

PETS

Pets are not allowed in the cabins or the cabin areas. Pets are not allowed on the beaches from 10am until 5pm (7 days a week) May 1 through Labor Day. This is a county ordinance that is effective on all public beaches in Horry County. Pets are allowed in most other outdoor areas year round, provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet.

Bikes are also not allowed on the beach during the same time periods as pets.

  • Lodging Information: Six cabins, located 200 yards from the beach, are completely furnished, heated, air-conditioned, and supplied with bath and bed linens, basic cooking and eating utensils and TV.

    Our earliest check in time is 4pm. Check out time for cabins is 10am.

    Free wireless internet service is now available in all cabins for cabin guests. For more information and access code, please check at the ranger station or park office.

    Myrtle Beach State Park RECYCLES! The park recycles cans, glass and plastic 1-7. Recycling bins are conveniently located near the dumpsters. Recycle your cardboard in the cardboard recycle bin located in the back of the ranger station. Recycle your fishing line (please cut off all rigs) on the end of the pier.

  • Reservations: To make a cabin reservation or view current rates, call toll-free 1-866-345-PARK (7275) or visit our reservation page by clicking here. During the months of May, Jun., Jul., Aug. and Sep., Myrtle Beach State Park cabins rent from either Mon. to Mon. or Fri. to Fri. Please be aware of this when inputting arrival and departure days into the reservation system. Rates vary by season and demand and are subject to change.

    Reservations requested less than three (3) days in advance of check-in must be made directly through the park. For example: If today is Wednesday and you are making a reservation for the upcoming Friday, you must make the reservation by contacting the park directly.

  • Two Bedroom Cabin/Villa: Four, two-bedroom/one-bath cabins are available that sleep up to four people. Each cabin includes cable TV and dvd player, fully-equipped kitchen with appliances including a microwave, central heat and air, screened porch with rocking chairs, outside area with sitting area, charcoal grill, fire pit, picnic table and shower. All linens are provided. Two bedroom cabins include: cabin 1, 3, 4 and 5.

  • Three Bedroom Cabin/Villa: One, three-bedroom/two-bath cabins are available that sleep up to six people. The cabin includes cable TV and dvd player, fully-equipped kitchen with appliances including a microwave, central heat and air, screened porch with rocking chairs, outside area with sitting area, charcoal grill, fire pit, picnic table and shower. All linens are provided. Cabin 2 is the three-bedroom cabin.

  • Four Bedroom Cabin/Villa: One, four-bedroom/three-bath cabin is available that sleeps up to 10 people. This cabin is located in the campground area. The cabin includes cable TV and dvd player, fully-equipped kitchen with appliances including a microwave, central heat and air, screened porch, outside area with sitting area, charcoal grill, fire pit, picnic tables and hammock. All linens are provided.
