South Carolina’s 47 state parks contain an array of natural, historical and cultural treasures that extend from the marshy wetlands of the Lowcountry to the majestic mountains of the Upstate. Every year, our state parks provide educational and recreational opportunities for millions of South Carolina residents and visitors.

As a not-for-profit foundation, Beautiful Places Alliance works to ensure the continuity of these resources for the enjoyment of future generations by providing funding for:

• Enhanced park programs that promote meaningful learning, healthier lifestyles and a greater appreciation of our natural resources.
• Sustainable environmental initiatives to protect and enhance visitor experiences at state parks.
