Spend your summer exploring South Carolina State Parks through stories, nature, and adventure!
Reading with a Ranger is a family-friendly summer reading program that encourages children to enjoy storytime with park rangers while discovering the outdoors and building a love of reading.

How to Participate
- Attend Reading with a Ranger programs throughout the summer.
- Bring your passport to each program to collect your stamps.
At each program, participants will receive:
- A program stamp
- The date of attendance
- A ranger signature
Earn Your Reward
Attend 5 Reading with a Ranger programs then:
- Take a photo of your completed passport
- Email it to rjensen@scprt.com
Participants who complete the program will receive:
- A certificate of completion
- A prize packet
Deadline
All completed passports must be submitted by September 10, 2026.

Reading with a Ranger is a statewide program offered at participating South Carolina State Parks. Families are encouraged to visit multiple parks throughout the summer, and all program visits count toward the 5-program goal.
