Lace up your hiking boots and journey back in time as we explore the fascinating history hidden within Paris Mountain State Park. During this fun, fact-filled hike, we’ll learn about Richard Paris, Greenville’s water system, and the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) to discover how each helped shape the history of this mountain we know and love today. From early settlers to the hardworking young men of the 1930s, we’ll uncover stories, fun facts, and traces of the past still visible along the trail. While this program is geared toward adults, history enthusiasts of all ages are welcome to join! Cost: $6 + admission Meeting Location: Picnic Flats parking lot (first parking lot on the left) Trail: Lake Placid and part of Mountain Creek Trail (1 mile total)
