Join us as we celebrate the 90th birthday of South Carolina's oldest state park—Myrtle Beach State Park! Enjoy a day filled with history, games, memories, and birthday treats as we honor nine decades of conservation, recreation, and unforgettable experiences.

Birthday Celebration Schedule
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM- A Stroll Back in Time- Meet at the Fishing Pier Picnic Deck Take a stroll through the park and discover just a few of the natural and historical features that have made Myrtle Beach State Park special since 1936.
10:30 AM – 11:15 AM- Outdoor Games & Activities- Meet at Shelter 1 Join park staff for some lighthearted fun with classic games including water relays, hula hoops, obstacle courses, and more!
11:15 AM – Noon- History & Memories- Meet at Shelter 1 Browse historic photographs of the park and chat with rangers about favorite memories, fascinating stories, and how the park has changed through the decades.
Noon- Birthday Cupcakes! Meet at Shelter 1 The first 90 visitors will receive a complimentary birthday cupcake while supplies last.
- 12:45 PM – 1:30 PM- Through the Years at Myrtle Beach State Park- Meet at Activity Center Classroom Enjoy a special PowerPoint presentation featuring historic photographs and important milestones that tell the story of Myrtle Beach State Park's remarkable 90-year history.
During the Entire Month of July- Historical Goose Chase Take part in our Historical Goose Chase around Myrtle Beach State Park! Complete all 20 challenges during the month of July and earn a commemorative Myrtle Beach State Park 90th Anniversary T-shirt (upon submission of the completed paperwork).
