Reading with a Ranger: Hunting Island State Park Join us this summer at Hunting Island State Park for our Summer Reading Program: Reading with a Ranger. This family-friendly program invites kids to enjoy storytime with a ranger while exploring the outdoors and building a love of reading. How to Participate Attend Reading with a Ranger programs throughout the summer Bring your passport to collect a stamp at each program At each program, participants will receive: A stamp The date of attendance A ranger signature Earn Your Reward Attend 5 programs and: Take a photo of your completed passport Email it to rjensen@scprt.com Participants will receive a certificate of completion and a prize packet. Deadline All completed passports must be submitted by September 10, 2026. Want to Explore More? Reading with a Ranger is part of a statewide program across South Carolina state parks. You can attend programs at multiple parks across the state, and all visits count toward your 5-program goal. Get out, explore, and see how many parks you can visit this summer.
