Reading with a Ranger

At Myrtle Beach State Park

Join us this summer at Myrtle Beach State Park for our Summer Reading with a Ranger program. This family-friendly program invites kids to enjoy storytime with a ranger or volunteer while exploring the outdoors and building a love of reading. For June, we will focus on native plants and pollinators. Attend Reading with a Ranger programs throughout the summer and bring your reading with a ranger passport. At each program you attend you'll collect a stamp and once have 5 stamps you have completed your passport. You can earn rewards by taking a picture of your completed passport and sending it to rjensen@scprt.com. All completed passports must be submitted by September 10, 2026. Want to Explore More? Reading with a Ranger is part of a statewide program across South Carolina State Parks. You can attend programs at multiple parks across the state, and all visits count toward your 5-program goal.
