Roll up your sleeves and get ready to get sudsy! Step back in time and immerse yourself in the ancient craft of making soap. Join us for an interactive experience where you’ll learn the secrets of transforming simple tallow into exquisite soap, just as it was done centuries ago. A demonstration will showcase the creation of the soap base, followed by the chance to personalize your soap with your choice of scents and colors. After crafting your unique soap, it will need to set and cure for an hour and your handcrafted soap will be ready at the visitor center to pick up on your way out. Perfect for personal use or as a thoughtful gift for someone special. Please note: This is a hot process soap recipe that requires handling hot and caustic liquids. Participants must wear appropriate clothing, including long pants and closed-toe shoes. This program is open to individuals ages 10 and older. No refunds will be provided if participants do not meet these requirements. Cancellation policy: Participants may cancel and request a refund up to 24 hours before the program start time. Refunds will not be issued for same-day cancellations. Weather policy: This program will take place rain or shine. We reserve the right to cancel, however, if inclement weather such as lightning, thunder, or other severe weather poses potential dangers or disrupts activities. If the park cancels a program, you may request a refund by 4:30 PM the following day by emailing gctaylor@scprt.com or calling (843) 852-4200 with the registered name and program details.
