Stop by the Park Center Nature Classroom between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm to create your own pine cone bird feeder with a park ranger! In this hands-on, family-friendly activity, participants will use natural materials to make a simple feeder to take home and hang outside for local birds. Ingredients include peanut butter (sunbutter will be available for those with nut allergies) and birdseed. A park ranger will share fun facts about common backyard birds, what they eat, and how feeding birds helps support wildlife, especially in the spring. This program is free and drop-in; donations are welcome to support future nature programs. All supplies are provided while they last.
