At Redcliffe Plantation State Historic Site
Experience a unique ranger-led tour of the historic Beech Island Cemetery where SC Governor James Henry Hammond and many of his descendants are buried. Explore the lives, deaths and burials of notable Beech Island residents, as well as the meaning of various gravestone designs and symbols. Recommended ages 13+.
