Sea Turtle Patrol

At Myrtle Beach State Park

BOOK NOW

Join a park ranger for a sunrise walk along the beach as we search for signs of sea turtle activity. Together, we’ll look for fresh turtle crawls that may lead us to newly laid nests while learning how state parks work to protect these incredible animals. While sea turtle activity isn't guaranteed, the experience offers a rewarding way to connect with nature and learn about sea turtles. Along the way, we’ll help preserve the beach by picking up trash and filling in holes—small actions that make a big difference for nesting turtles. Be prepared to walk at least a quarter mile, with the possibility of going farther depending on turtle activity. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the coastline while contributing to conservation efforts. Please note: No pets are allowed. Appropriate for ages 8 to 108.
