Park After Dark- Bat Chat

At Myrtle Beach State Park

BOOK NOW

Bats- the only mammals capable of true powered flight- have fascinated (and sometimes frightened!) people for centuries. After a 30-minute indoor presentation, you’ll discover why they’re some of nature’s most amazing night-time hunters. As dusk approaches, we’ll head outside to observe bats in action and take a short walk. With the help of a bat detector, a special device that converts ultrasonic bat calls into sounds humans can hear, we’ll “eavesdrop” on their hunting conversations. Join us for this twilight exploration and discover how these master aerialists turn the night sky into their hunting grounds. You may never look at bats the same way again! Appropriate for ages 10 to 110. There is a limited capacity of only 20 people so please sign up before all slots are filled!
