A Crabby Experience!

Test your luck from the fishing pier as we try to catch a variety of crabs, fish and many other critters. This is a catch and release program in order to help conserve our resources for the future. You must register online. Program is $7 per person and includes a rental crab trap and wristband. The wristband enables you to touch any critters participants catch! Bring your own bait or buy some chicken necks from the fishing pier. Appropriate for ages 5 to 105.

  • Registration Deadline

    Online registration is required and once capacity is reached (15 crab traps), registration will close. Deadline is the day before the program.

    Event Hours

    Program starts at 9 am, but please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and receive your crabbing supplies.

    Meeting Place

    Check in starts at 8:45 am at the colorful rocking chairs outside of the fishing pier store. Once you receive your wristband at check in, stop inside the store and purchase chicken for bait, and then head out to the large photo op chair on the fishing pier to receive your crab trap.

    What to Bring

    Hand sanitizer, something to drink, and sunscreen. Bring your own crab bait or purchase some chicken necks inside the fishing pier before the program starts.

    In addition to park admission, the program is $7 per participant and includes a crab trap, wristband, and opportunity to touch anything participants catch. No refunds unless the park cancels the program.
