Pets are allowed in most outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Owners will be asked to remove noisy or dangerous pets or pets that threaten or harass wildlife.
How long does it take to paddle the canoe trail?
Times will vary depending on the pace one takes, but a three-hour paddle gives most ample time to enjoy the scenic trail.
What type of interesting plants can be found at the park?
N.R. Goodale State Park contains a variety of different plant species. Carnivorous plants can even be found at the park. Pitcher plants and sundew are two examples that can be viewed.
Are pets allowed on the nature trail?
Pets are welcome on the trail as long as they are maintained on a leash that is no longer than six feet in length.
Are there any facilities available for family gatherings?
The park has two picnic shelters and a community building that can be reserved and are popular with groups. The picnic shelters accommodate up to 45 people each. The community building accommodates up to 60 people.
What types of fish can be caught in the lake?
Largemouth bass, bream, chain pickerel and catfish are the more common fish caught in the lake. Fishing is permitted with a valid S.C. fishing license.
Where is the park’s Ultimate Outsider stamp located?
Our Ultimate Outsider stamp is located on the outside wall of the office building facing the road.
