Meditative. Dreamy. Mesmerizing. These are some of the words that collectors use to describe Deborah Younglao’s abstract paintings. Inspired by her love of nature and the cosmos, cryptic patterns and forms in her paintings wait to be discovered. They invite you into a tranquil space where you are free to leave reality for a while and lose yourself in the stories you find in them.
An accomplished silk painter for many years - she achieved Silk Painters International Master Silk Painter status in 2010 - Deborah recently transitioned to abstract acrylic painting with fluid paints, and loves watching colors, shapes and lines come to life on her canvas, as she manipulates them with palette knives and compressed air.
Deborah’s work can be found in private collections across the US and Caribbean. A native of Trinidad, Deborah now resides in Cary, North Carolina.
