First Day Hike: Birding The New Trails
At Aiken State Park
Join us for a First Day of the Month Hike exploring our new trail system with guest speaker Alvin Zippler. Guest speaker Alvin Zippler is a local birder and naturalist with a passion for observing and sharing knowledge about native bird species and habitats. Formerly known as Compartment C, this area includes Pine Passage and Woodpecker Ridge. Along the way, we’ll search for birds and learn about the unique habitat and conservation of the Red-cockaded Woodpecker. We will meet in the Day-Use parking area.
