Join SC State Parks and Girls Who Hike SC for a supportive, beginner-friendly Camping for Women class designed to help you feel confident getting outdoors.

This session covers the essentials of camping, including basic gear, simple trip planning, and practical safety tools like first aid, communication devices, and navigation. You’ll also learn how to overcome common fears, plan your first trip, and how to choose a campsite that feels safe and comfortable.

We’ll emphasize trusting your instincts, keeping things simple, and building confidence so you can get outside and enjoy the experience. Whether you’re brand new to camping or just need a little encouragement, this class will help you take that first step.
