Basic Paddle Program - Opening Weekend
At Black River State Park
Join rangers on a relatively easy paddle on the Black River. These paddles will be part of the grand opening weekend for the park. We will offer four ranger-guided programs over two days, but spots for each are very limited. These paddles are not for first-time paddlers. We require participants have some paddling experience on still or moving water and will be disqualified and sent back if they appear unsafe on the river.
The trip will last about an hour and we will go upstream for approximately 30-40 minutes and then head back to the launch area.
