Come to Landsford Canal State Park and see why winter can be the best season for exploring historic landscapes and ruins! This ranger-guided walking tour will take a deep dive into the people of Landsford Canal and their complex and fascinating (and sometimes troubling) stories. We will hike through 1.5 miles of the canal’s preserved ruins to discover the history of the visionaries who planned it, the skilled craftsmen and work crews who built it, and the patroons and boatmen who used it. This tour will be of interest to both first-time visitors and long-time fans of Landsford!
Winter History Walks will be offered on January 31, February 15, and March 14, 2026. Register for each event by clicking the Book Now button.
