Liberty Live's Teasing Secrets from the Grave
At Andrew Jackson State Park
Come out and use your detective skills to solve a mystery. Help discover the identity of a Revolutionary War Soldier whose grave was discovered on a South Carolina battlefield. Participants will use Battlefield Archaeology, Bio-Archaeology, Forensic Anthropology, Historic Documents, and even a working DNA lab demonstration to solve the puzzle. This program's activities parallel those being used in the ongoing work to identify remains of Revolutionary War human remains found at Camden Battlefield after the Patriot defeat on August 16, 1780. This program is co-sponsored by the Lancaster County 250 Committee and is funded by a grant from the SC American Revolution Sestercentennial Commission (SC250).
