Embark on a 1.6-mile kayaking adventure amidst the stunning landscapes of Lake Wateree with our experienced park rangers. While some kayaking experience is required, participants of all skill levels will enjoy paddling along the shoreline. Join us for an unforgettable experience that combines the thrill of adventure with the beauty of nature, only at Lake Wateree State Park. Reserve your spot now for an evening of adventure and discovery. Guests should arrive to check in at the Lake Wateree Tackle Shop at 6:00 p.m. The group will depart the boat ramp via wet entry at 6:15 p.m. and paddle 0.8 miles to Taylor Creek Cove before paddling back to the park, covering 1.6 miles round trip. All participants must be 18 or older and be able to swim. No pets allowed. You can bring your own kayak if you like. All personal kayaks will be visually inspected by park staff at check-in. PFD is provided but you are welcome to bring your own if it is in good condition and has a whistle. You should bring water, clothing that can get wet, water shoes that will not fall off, towel, extra dry clothes, head light/lamp, insect repellent, and a dry bag for anything you don't want to get wet.
You can bring your own kayak and equipment but all personal kayaks/equipment will be inspected for safety prior to trip.
