Step back in time and learn how families in the early 1900s used natural ingredients to create beautiful, hand-dyed eggs. Before store-bought dyes, people relied on onion skins, beets, coffee, and other plant-based materials to color eggs for Easter and spring celebrations.
In this hands-on program, participants will use a cold-dye method to dip eggs into pre-made natural dye baths, experimenting with historical techniques such as leaf imprinting and color layering. Participants under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult participant. The cost is $8 per participant.
Join us for a creative, eco-friendly experience that connects history, nature, and tradition, leaving you with uniquely decorated eggs and a deeper appreciation for the past!
