A Beach Built for Shorebirds

At Huntington Beach State Park

Take an invigorating 3-mile, 3 hour hike to explore a beach built for threatened shorebirds by the US Army Corps of Engineers as part of their maintenance of the Murrells Inlet navigation channel. We will learn more about some of these conservation efforts and view some of the birds that rely on them. Wear close-toed shoes and bring drinking water and sunscreen. Free with park admission. Meet at the North Beach parking lot at 9:00 am.
