Flip the Script: Honoring the Women of the She-She-She Camps

At Oconee State Park

A Women's History Month Special Event History has long celebrated the men of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), but what about the women? This Women’s History Month, we’re flipping the script at Oconee State Park to spotlight the Residential Training Schools for Unemployed Women, most often called the She-She-She Camps. Join us as we step into the shoes of the women who worked, learned, and built their futures in the shadow of the Great Depression. Through images, storytelling, and immersive experiences, we’ll bring their stories to life—right here in a park shaped by the CCC. Date: March 29, 2025 Location: The Bath House Breezeway Time: Gallery Walk Open 9:00-4:00; Ranger Talks 11:00; 1:00 and 3:00 Admission: Free with park admission Come help us honor the women who helped shape our past!
