Citizen Science Adventure: Record Biodiversity on the Jackson Creek Nature Trail

At Sesquicentennial State Park

BOOK NOW

Join us at Sesquicentennial State Park and learn how to become a Citizen Scientist by participating in the Columbia City Nature Challenge! After a quick overview of how you can use the app iNaturalist to record biodiversity data from your smartphone, we’ll embark on a ranger-guided exploration of the Jackson Creek Nature trail. Our rangers will give you an overview of the natural history and unique species of the area, as well as help you keep an eye out for organisms you can record through iNaturalist! This fun and educational event includes up to 1.5 miles of walking on easy, relatively flat trails. Pre-registration is required and space is limited. This program is for ages 10 and older and adults must accompany children 15 and under.
