The burning ban has been lifted for all counties in South Carolina with the exception of: Greenville, Horry, Oconee, Pickens and Spartanburg. These counties remain under the burning ban. A State Forester’s Burning Ban prohibits all outdoor burning, including yard debris burning, prescribed burning, campfires, bonfires, and other recreational fires in all unincorporated areas of the state. The ban will stay in effect until further notice.

Join us on a special behind the scenes tour around May Forest State Park. May Forest was previously owned by the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady of Mercy, but now it is South Carolina's newest state park. During our walk, we will discuss some of the history associated with the site as well as take in the natural beauty of the location. We hope to invigorate your body and mind during this walking tour.
