Join a ranger on a ¾-mile nature walk to the Spider Lily viewing area during peak lily season! This guided hike will stop at the historic canal’s entrance, a bald eagle nest, and along the banks of the Catawba River to gaze at the beautiful rocky shoals, flowing water, and famous Spider Lilies in bloom. These nature walks will be offered Thursdays through Sundays, May 9 through June 16, except on Saturday May 18th which is Lily Fest!. Limited space is available per walk, please register online by clicking the book now button. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes or boots for hiking. Bring water, bug spray, and a camera. Please arrive 15 minutes early to pay the program admission at the Visitor Center in the Log House. Tour will depart from the Log House. Please note: River levels and weather conditions can affect your ability to see the Spider Lilies. Call us at 803-789-5800 to check on the lilies' status.
