Memorial Illumination
At Battle of Rivers Bridge State Historic Site
Weather permitting*, there will be a luminary display in the Memorial Grounds to commemorate both the anniversary of the battle and the sacrifice and loss suffered by the soldiers on both sides who fought here. A luminary will be lit for each casualty of the battle. The Illumination Event and Park Admission are FREE for all ages, is self-guided, and runs from the onset of darkness until the gate closes at 10PM. The Casualties Exhibit in the memorial Grounds will also remain open for you to visit. *Event will be canceled if it rains, however the Casualties Exhibit will remain open until 10pm regardless of weather during the event.
