Gator Gauntlet 5K
At Huntington Beach State Park
Are you faster than a gator? Come find out at the Gator Gauntlet 5K at Huntington Beach State Park on Saturday April 25, 2026. Dress up like a Gator or wear a crazy costume and join the fun - a special prize will be given for the most outrageous costume! Maybe a Gator will be chasing you?!
This 5K race is open to everyone, from beginner runners and joggers, experienced athletes to dog walkers - all are welcome. This race will be timed and is on paved surfaces so you can run as fast or as slow as you want. The cost to register for the Gator Gauntlet 5K is $45 and include park admission. Online registration closes on April 24, 2026, and race capacity is 175 participants. The race will start at 9 AM, and check in will begin at 8 AM on Saturday April 25, 2026.
All registered 5K participants will receive a race souvenir and be eligible for door and top place finisher prizes.
Pets are welcome but all pets must be on a 6ft. or shorter leash at all times and be non-aggressive.
This race will be held rain or shine unless weather conditions are hazardous, and all race participants will be notified in the event of race cancellation.
Come out and have some fun, explore the park, and support a special place on the beach!
