Legends and Lore of Hampton Plantation

What do a president, gold coins, lost love, and a Gullah cemetery have in common? They are all legends of Hampton Plantation! Join our rangers as we explore the history of Hampton Plantation and the South Santee through local legends. From buried treasure in Hampton's front lawn to burial practices in a Gullah Cemetery, each of these stories will provide insight to the people who once called Hampton home. After the tour make your own S'mores by a fire. Bring your friends, wear a costume, eat a s'more, and enjoy this unique Hampton Plantation experience. Reservations are encouraged but not required. After the main tour, there will be hayrides available down to the African American cemetery and through the front lawn of Hampton Plantation!
