At Huntington Beach State Park
Enjoy a day of bird-themed programs and events! 10 am Birding Walk…...meet at the causeway parking lot. 1 pm Free-Flight Live Raptor Show by the Center for Birds of Prey. Meet in the field next to Atalaya. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. 2 pm Owl Pellet Dissection: Discover what a barn owl had for dinner in this fun CSI-style activity……...Meet at picnic shelter #2 across from the store. 3 pm Pinecone Owl Nature Craft……...Meet at picnic shelter #2 across from the store. 8 pm Outdoor Movie Screening of the bird documentary “The Messenger”. Meet at the North Beach Parking Lot. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. During March, watch a real Bald Eagle nest through the spotting scope at the Nature Center as the parents tend their chicks!
