Tour some of the best bird watching hot spots in the upstate as spring migration is ramping up. Experienced birders will guide small groups to a variety of habitats within the mountains and upper piedmont. Table Rock State Park will serve as our birding hub during this multi-day event. Participation will be limited to 50 attendees in order to keep the field trip group sizes small, so sign up quickly as trips are first come/first served. When you register for the festival, you then will have two options for selecting your field trips. The field trip destinations are listed below and full field trip descriptions can be read at http://www.gcbirdclub.org/BlueWallOutings.html After reading the descriptions, you can select your trips from that Blue Wall Birding Festival website that will email your trip choices directly to the park, OR if you choose to select your trips here, use the comments section of your registration to indicate your first and second choice for Friday and Saturday’s field trips. If interested in the Friday night nocturnal birding or an optional Sunday field trip, please put that in the comments section as well. Trip choices for Friday and/or Saturday: Nine Times Preserve and Eastatoe Valley Townville, Lake Hartwell, and Clemson areas Ashmore, Chandler, and Bunched Arrowhead Heritage Preserves SC Botanical Garden and Clemson Experimental Forest Table Rock, Mountain Bridge Wilderness, and Tall Pines Wildlife Management Area Table Rock State Park and Tall Pines Wildlife Management Area Optional trips: nocturnal birding Friday evening and Devils Fork/Lake Jocassee boat tour or Lake Conestee Nature Park on Sunday
