Creek Ranger Hike for Families

At Paris Mountain State Park

Create family memories on Friday mornings in the summer! Take a nature walk with a ranger, and wade into Mountain Creek! Using a park net, search for dragonfly nymphs, salamanders, and many more animals that call Paris Mountain home. We will walk approximately one mile total as we walk to the creek, stay awhile, and walk back. Participants are encouraged to bring their own water shoes (though a limited number of water shoes are available to borrow). Social distancing is expected. All ages welcome! Limit 25 people. Registration required. To register, email to, or call the park office at 864-244-5565. The cost is $5 per person PLUS admission. Admission is $6 for ages 16-64, $3.50 for ages 6-15, and $3.75 for ages 65+. Children younger than age 6 are not charged admission, so they only pay for the program. Meet at picnic flats parking lot. This program is also available for groups on other weekdays.
