Take a Kid Fishing
At Myrtle Beach State Park
Get outside and create the memory of a lifetime fishing with your favorite kid! If you don't own your own fishing gear, a limited amount of fishing rods are available and bait will be provided for any kid. Staff and volunteers will also be available to help when you reel in that catch of a lifetime! This is a catch and release event, as well as a non-smoking event. Space and supplies are limited, so online pre-registration is required. Online registration will be required and will go live sometime in September.

Online registration required! The link will go live sometime in September. We can only accommodate 25 rental rods plus an additional 10 kids if they bring their own rod.

See schedule above. Weather Policy: Our programs will go on rain or shine, but we reserve the right to cancel scheduled programs for inclement weather which may include lightning, thunder, or other severe weather conditions that the staff deem potentially dangerous or unconducive to activities.
Meeting Place
Check in at the fishing pier retail store before you head out to the fishing pier.
What to Bring
Dress for the weather. Bring snacks and drinks. This is a non smoking event.
