Take a Kid Fishing
At Myrtle Beach State Park
Get outside and create the memory of a lifetime fishing with your favorite kid! Bring your own fishing rod and tackle. Bait will be provided for any kid. Staff and volunteers will also be available to help when you reel in that catch of a lifetime! This is a catch and release event, as well as a non-smoking event. Space is limited, so online pre-registration is required.

Online registration required! We no longer have rental rods available, but we still have 10 spots open if you bring your own rod and tackle.

See schedule above. Weather Policy: Our programs will go on rain or shine, but we reserve the right to cancel scheduled programs for inclement weather which may include lightning, thunder, or other severe weather conditions that the staff deem potentially dangerous or unconducive to activities.
Meeting Place
Check in at the fishing pier retail store before you head out to the fishing pier.
What to Bring
Dress for the weather. Bring your own fishing pole, tackle, snacks and drinks. This is a non smoking event.
